Why You May See Crystallization in CBD Skincare

If you have ever noticed small, white or crystal-like particles within a CBD skincare product, you may be seeing one of the natural physical characteristics of highly purified CBD isolate.
Understanding CBD Isolate
CBD isolate is a highly purified form of cannabidiol derived from hemp. In its isolated state, CBD naturally has a crystalline structure. When incorporated into skincare, it becomes part of a carefully developed formulation alongside other cosmetic ingredients.
Because crystallization is part of CBD isolate's natural physical characteristics, changes in the product's environment, particularly temperature fluctuations, can sometimes encourage CBD to return to a visible crystalline state.
Why Shipping Can Make Crystallization More Noticeable
MSC+ products may travel through very different climates before reaching their final destination. A product can leave a warm environment, enter an air-conditioned facility, travel in a hot delivery vehicle, and then arrive inside a climate-controlled home.

For this reason, crystallization does not automatically mean that a product has expired or that what you are seeing is contamination. It may simply reflect a physical characteristic of CBD isolate following exposure to changing temperatures.
